Thanks to a fan, Brad Potts, we have some first-hand information on this show. Apparently, Monkeywrench Radio attempted to broadcast Pearl Jam's set, but ran into technical problems and the show only transmitted probably a few hundred feet around the venue. The post-show broadcast included a lot of songs, and Brad had the opportunity to be on the broadcast because of his interest and experience with local pirate radio in the area. James and Brad delved into the technical aspects of their respective systems, talking enough to have Mike McCready quip "C'mon, pirate radio isn't about talk". After it is mentioned that this Brad is setting up his station in the back of his Chevy Camaro, Ed joins in and does his rendition of "Bitchin Camaro" by The Dead Milkmen. Ed recants a story referring to the line "Like Muhammed, hits the truth" in Not For You by recalling a time when he met Muhammed Ali in Houston as a third grader and was so scared and in awe that Ed passed out. A perplexed Mike again chimes in with "you never even told me that". The rest of the post-show continues with Joey Ramone, some Jack Daniels and more great music. No tapes exist, and due to the technical difficulties, the crew in the van weren't even able to record their own broadcast. At the previous show two nights earlier in Las Cruces, the board feed of the show definitely was not broadcasted by Monkeywrench Radio; however, this show apparently was. It's possible the technical difficulties caused them to not try it the next night in New Orleans. But if they did try to broadcast the show in New Orleans, here's hoping it turns up one day.
